Psalm 13: To ask forgiveness

A Psalm of David

How Long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

  1. How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
  2. Consider and hear me, O Lord my god: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
  3. Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
  4. But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
  5. I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.

Psalm 17: Before sleeping, for perfect harmony in your life.

A Prayer of David

Hear the right, O Lord, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goeth not out of feigned lips

  1. Let my sentence come forth from thy presence; let thine eyes behold the things that are equal.
  2. Thou hast proved mine heart; thou hast visited me in the night; thou hast tried me, and shalt find nothing; I am purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
  3. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
  4. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
  5. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever

Psalm 23: When you are lonely

A Psalm of David

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

  1. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
  2. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
  3. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
  4. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
  5. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

.Psalm 25: For truth and teaching of truth

A Psalm of David

Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul.

  1. O my god, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
  2. Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed with transgress without cause.
  3. Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths.
  4. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the god of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
  5. Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy loving kindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
  6. Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness sake, O Lord.
  7. Good and upright is the Lord: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
  8. The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
  9. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
  10. for thy name's sake, O Lord, pardon mine iniquity; for it is great.
  11. What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.
  12.  His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.
  13. The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.
  14. Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net.
  15. Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted.
  16. The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses.
  17. Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
  18. Consider mine enemies; for they are many and they hate me with cruel hatred.
  19. O keep my soul, and deliver me: Let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.
  20. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
  21. Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
  22. Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

Psalm 27: When you feel afraid, fearful, or troubled

A Psalm of David

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

  1.  When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.
  2. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
  3. One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord, all of the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.
  4. For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.
  5. And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord.
  6. Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
  7. When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
  8. Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O god of my salvation.
  9. When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take me up.
  10. Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.
  11. Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.
  12. I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
  13. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.
